We are putting on a Christmas play/musical titled “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” written by Barbara Robinson. Show times: December 12-13, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. and December 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. This is a delightful family Christmas classic that was adapted into a television movie in 1983 starring Loretta Swit (from MASH). In this hilarious Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids—probably the most awful kids in history. It tells the story of Imogene, Claude, Ralph, Leroy, Ollie, and Gladys, six delinquent children (surnamed Herdman) who engage in misfit behavior. They go to church for the first time after being told that the church offers snacks. Despite protests from other church members, they are given roles in the Sunday School’s Christmas play. You won’t believe the mayhem—and the fun—when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head on! The play features children and adults, a few favorite Christmas Carols, and a lot of laughs!
